9 Full-Body Morning Stretches For Young Women On-The-Go

Are mornings too unbearable? Perhaps you slept late for overtime and woke up early for another day of hustling. Try these 9 easy full-body stretch for a young and busy woman like you.

Body Stretch

I usually do this in the morning when I wake up. Do a squat pose then gently pull your body up and extending your arms upwards as high as you can. Next, do the same with your legs. Do this for as long as you’re comfortable.

Head Rotation

Slightly bring your chin to your chest then slowly rotate your neck counterclockwise. Feel your full neck rotating from one side to the other side. Then do a head-rotation on the opposite direction. Always do this slowly and as gentle as you can.

Shoulder Roll

Stand straight and put your arms close to your body with your palm on your thighs. Now roll your shoulders forward then hold it for 5 seconds then pull it backwards and hold for another 5 seconds.

Elbow Rotation

Bring your elbows close to each other. Rotate them together but in the opposite direction. Left elbow should rotate from the left and bringing it back to the center, do the same for the right elbow from the right.

Hip Rotation

Stand with your legs open and slightly bend your knees with your feet flat on the ground. Place your hands on your hips. Push your right hip to the right then form a circle starting backwards then back to position. Do another rotation, this time pushing to the left side.

Knee Rotation

Stand with your feet together. Slightly bend your knees and place your hands just above the knees. Rotate your knees in circles from left to right 10 times, then do the same in the opposite direction.

Foot Rotation

Stand with hands on your hips. Lift the left foot forward then rotate it clockwise 5 times then do the same counterclockwise. Do the same with the right foot.

Leg Stretch

Stand with your hands on your hips. Extend your left leg sideward then slowly bend your body to the right and leave the left leg on the left. Stretch it and hold for 5 seconds. Then do the same with the left leg.

Finally, you can do 20 jumping jacks to tell your systems that you’re up for a brand new day.
